Grace Capacity Inc

Empowering People and Organizations to Reach Their Goals

We are a community capacity-building organization in Osceola County serving Central Florida. We aim to strengthen communities by enabling people and community-based organizations to develop and sustainably reach their goals. We consider the community’s needs that will most impact positive growth and focus our efforts on those areas.

There is a plethora of organizations that are good at what they do; our goal is to SPOTLIGHT them. In areas with service gaps, we first try to pair those situations with an organization able or willing to fill the need and, when possible, provide technical assistance.

For individuals, our goal is to ensure people looking to improve their lives have a sustainable plan for moving from where they are to their desired destination and have adequate resources to navigate the personal growth areas and external realities relevant to their journey.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Community Builder Interns collect data on community services and evaluate coverage gaps in availability. You will occasionally attend community meetings with Grace Capacity personnel to better understand the current sentiment around our selected initiatives.  In addition to helping develop marketing materials, you may assist with community-oriented activities and fundraisers. This role may be for you if you are interested in community development, working with nonprofits, or collaborative governance (businesses, community organizations, and government working together to solve problems).

Keeping operations running isn’t free. Luckily, many organizations set aside funds for philanthropy, and many individuals give cheerfully under the right circumstances. If you enjoy persuasive writing and/or planning memorable events people will talk about for times to come, this role may be for you.

Assist with planning and day of execution of STEAM Fair. This involves contacting businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to spread awareness of the event. You will also be working on marketing efforts to inform parents and students of the event. This role may be for you if you are interested in event planning and networking.
