TechSoup is a wonderful resource MANY organizations rely on to verify nonprofit status. Once verified, you gain access to hardware, software, services, equipment, and just about anything that will make your nonprofit GO! Before making any tech purchases for your nonprofit, I would highly recommend you check TechSoup first to see if there a nonprofit discount is offered. Many businesses that don’t advertise their nonprofit discounts make their discount information readily available on TechSoup. Access to these steep discounted offerings does require your IRS determination letter.

Microsoft is quite generous to nonprofits with their offerings. They provide complimentary access to Office365 with options of either many email addresses (up to 300) and the basic suite, or fewer emails (up to 10) and in their professional suite. This includes organizational boxes, Defender E5, Sharepoint, Apps, OneDrive, etc. Microsoft extends credits for Azure, enabling nonprofits to harness the power of cloud computing to scale their operations and reach more beneficiaries. Additionally, they include a free domain you can use to brand your emails and build a webpage. Microsoft does require verification through TechSoup.

Google provides nonprofits access to Workspace where you gain access to branded emails, G-Drive, and don’t have to create an unnecessary “@gmail.com” account just to access YouTube or your business profile. What’s more, Google provides advertising credits to registered nonprofits to help get your message out. This is an amazing deal (because it’s free) and you should take advantage of it where possible. Note that while you may be able to have branded email access you must pay for the domain yourself.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy provides great insight into the nonprofit world and highlights trends that have a significant impact on daily or future organizational operations. A subscription provides insightful articles and analyses, equipping you with the knowledge to navigate the complex world of philanthropy.
